Technology Companies Work Together in Tough Economy
BOULDER, CO, January 06, 2010 /Bloggin and Social Media PR News/ -- Boulder County Business Report's Technology CEO Roundtable meets to discuss the importance of emerging technology on local business and the economy. BlitzLocal's CEO Dennis Yu, and SimpleGeo Inc.'s CEO Matt Galligan, were amongst the participants in the December 15th Roundtable to discuss how Boulder technology companies are doing in this economy and how they're working together.
Mr. Yu discussed exceptional support and sharing amongst local technology companies. The joint focus on community and helping new startups succeed makes Boulder Valley a standout presence in this competitive industry.
The willingness to give advice and collaborate even amongst direct competitors leads to success and a much stronger industry in Boulder. This is much different from places like Silicon Valley where proprietary thought process takes precedence. Boulder, being a smaller community, allows for firms to know one another and to reach out by sharing expertise, funding and marketing.
BlitzLocal is proud to be a part of this collaboration and to assist small business and local technology as it continues to grow. Dennis agrees with the Roundtable's view that helping young entrepreneurs today will benefit all tomorrow.
From financing to mentoring, Boulder has taken the initiative to assist technology ventures. Boulder's Microloan Fund assists small companies with up to $50,000 working capital loans for those unable to obtain bank financing.
