"Shock Jock" Hal Turner's Trial Moved To New York
Information on "Shock Jock" Hal Turner's trial venue
September 17, 2009 /Bloggin and Social Media PR News/ -- Attorneys for Hal Turner were successful in convincing Judge Donald Walter that a change of venue was appropriate, and the matter was recently ordered transferred to the Eastern District of New York, Brooklyn. Judge Walter also changed the trial date to November 30th, 2009. As a result of the delay in the start of trial, Mr. Turner was ordered released to the District of New Jersey under strict conditions.
Turner is charged with violating 18 United States Code § 115 (a)(1)(b) because he allegedly,
"threatened to assault and murder three United States judges with intent to retaliate against such judges on account of the performance of his official duties." Turner denies these allegation.
